Welcome to the Rhode Island state chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association - EAA.

Meetings are on the FIRST TUESDAY of every month at 7:00 pm at the Quonset Air Museum, Quonset State Airport, North Kingstown, RI.

Those in the public that are interested in aviation and experimental aircraft are welcome to come to the meetings. As always, there is no charge to attend.

The EAA Young Eagles program allows children ages 8-17 to experience flying at no cost. A child is paired up with a pilot and the child learns about the plane and what it takes to be a pilot.

July/August Events

July 10  EAA1363 Pancake Breakfast - The chapter would like to thank everyone that stopped by and made it a success. Sorry the weather wasn't as good for more planes, and please keep next July in mind for the 2011 Pancake Breakfast. Special thanks to John Garabedian for giving some lucky people rides in his helicopter. July 26 - August 1  Air Venture in Oshkosh, WI. I hope the weather is good for all going. Remember to meet on Monday July 26th at Theater in the Woods at 5 pm. August 3  Next meeting. The first topic is a little theory discussion on lift - what is it, how is it generated, and what is it good for. There are popular ideas about lift, but they don't quite explain it correctly. Second topic will be the start of a monthly refresher course of various topics that pilots should know.
